Occupation: Salesman
Website: www.BinkyRecords.com Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Chris: Let's see if I can squeeze 30 years into one overly long paragraph. Liz (formerly Crifasi) and I have been married for over 26 years and we have three children. Beau (30) works in the locally burgeoning film industry as an artistic director after graduating from the Art Institute in Houston. Barrett (25) graduated from LSU, studied in Spain, and is now hard at work on another degree. Sara (21) is midway through college after taking a short work break. For many years Liz and I owned Show Biz Video. About ten years ago we sold the business and I landed in sales, where I remain today. We have also spent the past 12 years running a small folk music record label (www.BinkyRecords.com if you are mildly curious). We have released over 50 CDs and a DVD documentary about a pair of our artists. We work with gifted songwriters and have had tunes appear on CDs by artists including Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Mike McClure, Sara Hickman, Eliza Gilkyson, and Jason Boland & the Stragglers (if you don't recognize the names, ask your kids!). Our main studio was located in the lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans until Katrina came calling. Liz and I also operate a "not-for-profit" music venue called the Red Dragon Listening Room on Government Street. We host shows by travelling songwriters with ALL money going to the artists. At the time of this writing we are battling with the city government. They would like to convert our little building into a turning lane. I'm still active in baseball and can't throw over 75 mph (just like in high school!). And I still have that same smile on my face! |
